What We’ve Been Working On

Hello everyone! Sorry for the brief absence but we’ve sure been busy. A lot of hustling, reading, studying, meetings, just pushing for success. I wanted to just talk to you about what I did today and why I believe it’s important.

All morning we’ve been sitting at the kitchen table on our laptops cutting out things we want to see of our future selves having and obtaining. The cars we want to drive, the house we want to live in, the businesses we want to be apart of, and more.

The reason that this is so important is because you can create a version of yourself that you eventually want to become. Humans have more power than we let ourselves to believe. If we have the vision in our minds, we can create our future reality.

The point of a vision board is to be able to inspire. Inspire yourself when you might be feeling the self-doubt starting to take over. Have the vision in front of you every day and watch as you grow into your future self. Here is a great video to help you get started!

Here is a picture of the black on black Audi Q7 that I told myself I would get next summer. Time to hustle!

The Compound Effect and What It Means

Compound Effect
Hey Guys! It’s been a few days since my last post but I have been gathering some great content for you guys looking for some productive tips and motivation. A friend of mine who I met at a conference a few years ago called me and we had an amazing conversation about some of the things he’s implementing in his own business recently. He is a young entrepreneur who owns Spokane Garage Services in Spokane, WA and is the true definition of a hustler. I truly value our talks and his input.

He just read a book called The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy and said he’s seen great success after implementing the strategies in the book into his business and his personal life. Here are a few of the notes and tips from our talk:

The compound effect is ultimately the collection of all the decisions you make that ultimately shapes your destiny. This is directly correlated to the ripple effect which states that the decisions you make have a lasting effect on future outcomes. I started to reflect on this theory in my own life where some of the decisions I made effected the outcomes of things that happened later in my life. I think if we thought more consciously about the ripple effect in our lives we would question some of our decision-making.

“The first step towards change is awareness.”

As we talked about self-awareness in our last post, in the book Hardy talks about change. When you want to see change in your life you have to first identify what you want to change. Once you have identified what you want to change you need to have the strategy and awareness of how you are going to execute of your game plan. What might hold you back? Who might stand in your way? When you can identify these barriers before hand your chances of actually succeeding will increase greatly.

Lastly, if you are someone who is looking to improve production and drive overall results you need to start tracking your daily habits. I love this quote from John C. Maxwell… “You will never change your life until you can change something you do daily. The secret to success is found in your daily routine.” Change your thinking! Stop thinking about how hard it will be toget to the end and think about how you can do your absolute best right now! Today! Find a routine that breeds success and stick to it!

Ok guys that’s all I got for now. I hope you can take some value out of this post and again as always if you have any questions hit me up at [enter email here]. I should have some more content tomorrow for you guys. Be great!

Why Corrado?

So you might be wondering, why the name “Corrado”?

That’s a great question.

The four of us (Brian, Josh, Alex, and myself) all grew up in the Azusa, CA area and all went to Slauson Middle School. Our favorite teacher and middle school basketball coach, Mr. Corrado, always preached the importance of hard work and dedication to anything we were doing in life. He was a phenomenal man, teacher, and coach. Unfortunately, we lost him a couple years ago and wanted to name this group in his remembrance.

His favorite phrase was, “Be a person of integrity, and you can never go wrong!

This phrase means a lot more to me now then it did when I was playing hoops for the Panthers.

As I got older, I started to think about what it meant to be a person of integrity. I believe it means sacrificing time and effort, for doing things “the right way”. That is what Mr. Corrado always preached.
Another one of his favorite sayings was, “the tongue has the power of life and death”.

I personally have used this in my own life when I found myself in times of adversity. The words that we choose to words are physical in the universe. They exist! And the best part about it is we have the power to choose the words we want to say.

Here is one of my favorite videos from one Will Smith who talks about dreams and success!

Have you ever found yourself in a tough situation and used positive thinking and words, maybe even meditation or prayer, to help guide you into a better one? If you did, shoot us an email at info@socalcorradogroup.com, we would love to hear your story!

Until next time.
